Yesterday, Thailand’s navy intercepted considered one of three Vietnamese fishing boats seen in the Gulf of Thailand on Tuesday night. The navy first tried firing warning shots at three ships. The ships ignored the warning and fled. The navy managed to catch one of many ships yesterday, and arrested 5 folks for illegally fishing in Thai waters. The 5 face costs for this.
The navy seized the ship forty two nautical miles off Koh Kra. The navy confiscated the ship, and examined the 5 people for Covid-19. All examined unfavorable. The ship broke down as the navy was escorting it to the Songkhla naval base, though navy engineers have now repaired it.
The three ships were first seen off the coast of Nakhon Si Thammarat.
Just yesterday, another Vietnamese man attempted to sail by way of the Bay of Bengal from Phuket to India on an inflatable boat. The man wanted to see his spouse who he hadn’t seen in two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Despite Sale ends soon stirring within the Bay of Bangal, he managed to outlive for 18 days with 10 packs of noodles, a tank of water, and a few luggage. Navy officers in the Similan Islands rescued the person and took him to Similan Islands National Park.
