In response to a publish on social media claiming 168 troopers were compelled to masturbate before showering, Thailand’s Ministry of Defence made an announcement saying that there is not any policy where senior officers are encouraged to order that type of punishment to troopers, adding that it’s “extremely inappropriate.” Reports in Thai media says the ministry will examine the claims of sexual harassment among troopers and disciplinary action will be imposed immediately if officials discover that harassment has taken place.
An image was recently shared on Facebook with a caption saying soldiers had been pressured to masturbate before showering. The publish drew comments from numerous former troopers who shared their very own experiences with sexual harassment whereas within the Thai military.
