KSB completes growth of GIW’s Grovetown facility

KSB has introduced the completion of its US$44 million multiphase expansion of the GIW facility in Grovetown, Georgia, USA.

The first two phases of the expansion had been accredited in 2013 in response to rising market demand for larger equipment. Since then, the Grovetown facility has completed upgrades, added tens of 1000’s of square feet to its foundry, increased furnace capability, accomplished development on a distribution centre, and gained approval for three further phases of enchancment.
With the completion of the challenge, KSB has quadrupled its capability to mildew castings over 20,000 lbs (9000 kg), increased its most pouring output by as a lot as 66,000 lbs (30,000 kg), decreased the number of required shot blast runs by 50%, added particular cleaning stations for large castings, applied new expertise and efficiency solutions, and doubled employee locker room amenities.
KSB went ahead with the project’s completion, despite the Covid-19 pandemic and its economic fallout.
